FAQs
Everything you need to feel confident
Booking, previews, guest numbers, travel and preparation — answered clearly, so nothing feels uncertain.
Booking + bridal preview
Your date is officially secured once your contract is signed and your 30% booking payment has been received. Until then, it remains available to other brides.
Your proposal remains open for 14 days, giving you time to review everything. Your date cannot be held during this period unless the booking is completed.
I usually offer previews to booked brides because I cannot hold a wedding date until after a preview. If my studio diary allows, a pre-booking appointment may be possible, but your wedding date will remain available until your booking is complete.
Your preview is optional and charged separately at €70 per service.
I will contact you around four months before your wedding, with most previews held approximately three months beforehand. Midweek appointments take place in my Adamstown studio, with some Saturday availability in Wexford.
Changing your booking
Yes, usually until 30 days before the wedding, provided your package minimum is still met. If a second artist has already been reserved, the agreed minimum for both artists will continue to apply.
Of course, provided the timing and artist availability allow. I will confirm the additional cost and let you know if another artist will be required.
Your remaining balance is due one week before your wedding. The payment dates will be clearly outlined in your proposal and contract.
Numbers + additional artists
Working alone, I can usually complete up to six makeup applications, six hairstyles or hair and makeup for three people. Hair and makeup for a fourth person may be possible depending on your timing, ceremony and chosen styles.
For larger bookings, an additional artist may be required. Where possible, I can arrange a trusted artist so everyone is ready on time and the morning remains calm.
Your proposal will include the cost of all services required. There is no automatic surcharge simply for having another artist, although their travel costs may also apply.
I know this is something brides worry about. In 11 years, I have only missed one wedding due to COVID, and I arranged four alternative artists to look after the booking.
I have a trusted professional network and will always do everything reasonably possible to arrange experienced cover.
Travel + accommodation
I'm based in Adamstown, County Wexford and travel across the south-east and beyond — regularly covering Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Wicklow and Dublin, as well as selected European destination weddings.
Yes. Dublin weddings require an overnight stay the night before, so I can arrive on time and your morning starts calmly as planned. The accommodation is clearly outlined in your proposal.
Travel within 30 km of Adamstown is included. For venues further away, the cost will be clearly included in your proposal so there are no unexpected charges.
For very early starts or venues a significant distance from Wexford, I may need accommodation nearby the night before. Dublin and longer-distance weddings always include an overnight stay the night before. This allows me to arrive on time and ensures your morning starts as planned.
Their travel costs may also apply. For weddings further from Wexford, I may recommend an artist based closer to your venue when this is more practical and keeps your costs reasonable.
Your getting-ready space
All I need is a table, chair, nearby sockets and good natural light where possible. I will bring the professional kit and products needed for your services.
Close parking is very helpful because I will be carrying a considerable amount of equipment. It also allows me to set up and begin on time.
Yes. I will create and send a clear schedule before the wedding so everyone knows when they need to be ready for hair or makeup.
Hair extensions
Not every style requires them. Extensions can add length and fullness or help create a fuller bun or ponytail.
I generally recommend extensions for most down styles because they can help the finished style hold for longer. I will advise you based on your chosen look and natural hair.
Please choose 100% human-hair clip-in extensions, but check with me before ordering. I can help you choose the correct colour and amount and may also have a discount code available.
Yes. Bring them so I can check the colour, amount and placement. On your wedding morning, they should be clean, completely dry and removed from their packaging.
Hair + makeup details
Yes. Individual or strip lashes are included with every full makeup application, depending on what best suits your chosen look.
Often, yes, although it depends on the tattoo's size, colour and location. Send me a clear photograph beforehand and I will advise what is realistically possible.
For children under ten, I am happy to add complimentary blush and lip gloss. A full makeup application or lashes will be charged at the standard service price.
Final checks + touch-ups
Yes. I do not leave as soon as the scheduled services are finished. I stay for your final checks, help with your veil or hair accessories and make sure everything is sitting beautifully once you are dressed.
Yes. If you would like me to remain beyond the included final checks for further touch-ups or photographs, additional time can be added at the current hourly rate.
A bridal emergency touch-up kit can be added for €10. I will also complete your final lip and complexion checks before I leave.
Preparing for your bridal preview
Choose two or three makeup images from my work that feel closest to your preferred look.
It is also helpful to bring: a photograph of how you normally wear your makeup; a professional makeup look you previously loved; examples of anything you strongly dislike; details of allergies, sensitivities or skin concerns.
Arrive with clean, lightly moisturised skin and avoid unfamiliar products, facials or peels beforehand. Please avoid having a lash lift, as this can affect how false lashes sit.
Bring two or three inspiration images, along with photographs of your dress, veil and accessories. Bring any 100% human-hair clip-in extensions you plan to wear.
Wash your hair the morning before, shampoo twice, condition the lengths and blow-dry it smooth. Do not straighten it unless asked, and arrive with completely dry hair.
If your hair struggles to hold a curl, apply a small amount of curl-hold mousse through the damp lengths and ends before blow-drying.
Preparing for your wedding day
In the weeks before your wedding, moisturise consistently and use skincare your skin already knows.
Avoid new products, strong facials, peels, aggressive exfoliation or unfamiliar treatments during the final one to two weeks.
Have your brows shaped approximately three days beforehand and any spray tan applied two to three days before the wedding. Avoid lash lifts, as they can prevent false lashes from sitting correctly.
On the morning, arrive with clean, well-moisturised skin. Avoid SPF unless we tested it successfully at your preview.
Wash your hair the morning before the wedding. Shampoo twice, condition the lengths and blow-dry it smooth.
Do not straighten it unless asked, tie it up while wet or sleep with wet hair. It must be completely dry when your appointment begins.
Any clip-in extensions should be clean, dry, ready to use and made from 100% human hair.
Wear a robe, button-up shirt or zip-front top that can be removed without disturbing your finished hair and makeup.
